Legacy Middle holds virtual ribbon-cutting following 1st semester


"After opening its doors at the beginning of the school year, Legacy Middle School held a virtual ribbon-cutting ceremony last week to celebrate the newest addition to the Williamson County School District.

“When you are driven to build a positive legacy, to leave a positive legacy, you are focused on building a future for yourself and others,” Legacy Middle Principal Alicia Justice said. “Your actions and words are purposeful, and you are motivated to pursue those things that you value and those things that truly matter.”

The WCS Board of Education chose the name “Legacy” in January of last year after a passionate community debate between that name, “Oak View” and “Oakstead.” District 8 board member Candy Emerson argued at the time that choosing a unique name, Legacy, would allow the school to pave its own way, untethered to any other area school. . . ."  - per Tori Keafer with Williamson Hearld
