1. How do I schedule an inspection?

All inspection requests should be made through the Thompson's Station IDT Plans & Permits webpage. Simply log into the system and use the "My Dashboard" page to navigate to your permit or search with the magnifying glass icon in the upper right-hand corner then click the "Request Inspection" button.

2. Who do I contact for technical support for Thompson's Station idtPlans?

Please contact idtPlans Support for help with issues concerning how to use idtPlans. If you encounter issues with the website, you can also get support by creating a support ticket using your idtPlans account.

3. What are the construction hours within the Town?

Construction hours are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. No construction is allowed on Sunday.

4. Where can I access the Town's Municipal Code?

1. How do I get a business license?

Detailed information and online forms can be located on our Business Licenses webpage. The Town's Finance Director handles new businesses in Thompson’s Station.

License renewals are handled by the Tennessee Department of Revenue. They verify tax information and send notice to us to renew the license.

For additional questions, contact the Finance Director  or stop by Town Hall at 1550 Thompson’s Station Rd West, Thompson’s Station, TN 37179.

2. How is my wastewater bill calculated?

Water meter usage information is obtained from HB&TS and is used to calculate monthly wastewater billing amounts. The wastewater fee is calculated the same for all customers that discharge to the Town's wastewater system.

Monthly Fee: $29.00

Usage Fee: $8.10 per 1000 gallons of water used 

 

Example: HB&TS Water bill usage of 5000 gallons.

 

5000/1000 = 5 x $8.10  = $40.50 + $29.00 = $69.50 monthly fee

3. When is my wastewater bill due each month?

The Town sends out sewer bills at the end of the month with the due-date set for the 25th of following month. In the event that the 25th falls on a weekend, the bill will be due on the next business day.

1. Do I live within Thompson's Station Town Limits?

The United States Post Office sets the regional zip codes for the area based on delivery routes. They do not reflect the municipal boundaries of local Towns and Cities. The Thompson's Station Zip Code (37179) extends into the boundaries of the City of Spring Hill so these properties will have a Thompson's Station, TN address but are actually in Spring Hill. There is similar property that lies within the northern boundary of Thompson's Station's that has a Franklin, TN address. Please refer to the map below for more information.

2. What are my Utilities?

The Town of Thompson's Station offers wastewater service in the following subdivisions/areas: Allenwood,  Avenue Downs, Bridgemore Village, Fields of Canterbury, Heritage Commons Commercial District, Tollgate Village, and Whistle Stop.

There is no trash pick-up service contracted with the Town - a Convenience Center is located at 1515B Thompson's Station Rd W, Thompson's Station, TN 37179. Residents in subdivisions should contact the HOA for trash utility services available. 

Thompson's Station water service is provided by H.B. & T.S. 

Utility District Gas service is provided by Atomos Energy. 

Electricity is provided by the Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation (MTEMC).
